Mesa County Predators Arrested After Sting

Ten individuals were arrested after an undercover internet sex predator operation that covered western Colorado. According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office, the three day operation was a joint effort between local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, working to locate child sex predators. Ads for sex with children were posted on several websites, social media, and apps. Those arrested and booked into the Mesa County Detention Facility include the following: From Grand Junction area, 22-year-old Aaron Apatang, 35-year-old Steven Bruckner, 40-year-old Jason Gullion, 57-year-old Michael Duane Jones, 20-year-old Austin Pierce, and 57-year-old Terry Royster. 34-year-old Robert Woodruff of Gastonia, North Carolina was also arrested. Three others were issued a summons to appear in court for charges of Prostitution. The Mesa County Sheriff’s Office is urging all individuals to know who you and your loved ones are engaging with online. Talk about the dangers of the internet and have open dialogue between parents and kids.
