Meet the Candidate: Pat Vaughn for Senate District 26

Pat Vaughn called the KVEL studio this week for an interview on the Meet the Candidate Forum. Vaughn is running as the Democratic candidate for the Senate District 26 seat currently held by Senator Kevin Van Tassell. Her campaign information can be found at Vaughn has lived in both Summit and Wasatch Counties over the last 20 years. She emphasizes her qualifications in economic development having served under former Governor Jon Huntsman in the Economic Development department. The Meet the Candidate Forum started on May 7th and is being held select mornings from 8 to 9am broadcast on News Talk KVEL 104.5 FM and 920 AM. Eileen Gallagher for Senate District 26 will be interviewed on Monday, June 11th. Interviews will be rebroadcast weekday mornings from 8 to 9am through June 19th.


Kristin Baldwin

Kristin never planned to work in news radio but has thoroughly enjoyed being part of the news team at KVEL. Her love of literature and writing developed in high school which led her to study English Literature and Technical Writing at BYU. She received her BA in English from BYU in 2005 and studied at UVU in Orem for 2 semesters to become a Certified Technical Writer in 2006. Two months after completion she began her dream job of being a stay-at-home mom.  As mother of 2 energetic kids, she began writing from home for the KVEL news team in 2011 and considers it the perfect fit as a full time mom and part time writer.
