“Beauty is in the eye of the ogre” in an exciting theatrical presentation coming to Meeker. The Meeker Arts and Cultural Council sponsors the Center Stage Youth Theatrical Group in presenting an annual musical and this year’s presentation will be


Shrek the Musical, Jr.


The group was founded in 2010 and features youth from 3rd through 8th grade as the cast and crew members. This year’s production includes over 45 youth in a show that will have the audience rolling in the aisles. “…The magic that happens with the artistic construction of our dragon…and puppets…are a central highlight,” shares Director of Production Laurie Zellers. “The characters that come alive with each child’s personal work, creativity and talent are immense and captivating.” Casting on the musical took place in August and there have been hundreds of hours invested in the production since then.
