Just days after announcing his run for Utah Governor 2020, Lt. Gov. Spencer Cox will be visiting the Uintah Basin. Cox announced his run for Governor
on Tuesday morning
. He began his public service as a city councilman in 2004 and has since served in Utah as a Mayor, County Commissioner, State Representative and now as Lieutenant Governor since 2013. “Our campaign will be different because we refuse to let this journey change who we are,” Spencer Cox said during his announcement. “Rather than showing contempt for others to get ahead, we will discuss solutions to position Utah for transformative achievements in education, transportation, water, air quality, housing and more. We are confident we will be successful, but our campaign will be a force for good regardless of the outcome. I invite every candidate to also hold themselves to this same standard.” Cox’s campaign information can be found at

. He will be speaking at the Vernal Chamber of Commerce 70th annual meeting and awards dinner at the Uintah Conference Center
on Thursday, May 16th.
Cox will visit the KVEL studios earlier that day
at 3:30pm
for a live interview on Newstalk 104.5 FM and AM 920 KVEL.
