Ashley Regional Medical Center broke ground on a $35 million dollar expansion project last Wednesday. Uintah County Commissioner Mark Raymond attended the ceremony, excited to see growth in the community. “We appreciate the partnership with Ashley Regional Medical Center and the efforts to improve services to our community,” says Commissioner Raymond. “We are lucky and blessed.” Duchesne County Commissioner Gregory Todd also attended the groundbreaking. “We always welcome improvements with health care in the Uintah Basin,” shares Commissioner Todd. Vernal City Councilman Ted Munford also expressed support. “In addition to the expanded health services this addition will bring,” says Munford, “Vernal City welcomes the many employment opportunities this expanded new facility will provide.” The focal point of the project is a new Women’s Center within a three-story 30,000 square foot tower.
