Armed with spatulas and aprons for uniforms, local law enforcement officers will be cooking and serving breakfast for a great cause. The 5th annual Law Enforcement Recovery Breakfast is being held tomorrow,
April 13th
, at the Elks Lodge in Vernal
from 8 to 11am
. The pancake breakfast costs $5 and every penny will support the annual Recovery Days scheduled this year for
September 6th
and 7th. For another chance to help the cause stop by the 5th annual Bake Sale at Davis Food and Drug
from noon to 4pm
. Recovery Days coordinator Deb Prisbree explains that the event is all about celebrating recovery and educating the public on addiction and mental health. “[Addiction] does impact all of us,” explains Prisbree, “and part of educating the public is so the public can see that individuals with substance abuse disorder or mental health concerns can maintain and manage their disorder or illness and be productive in society.” For more information, contact Deb Prisbree at
