Today is the last day to register to vote if you haven’t already done so. Uintah County Clerk/Auditor Mike Wilkins advises voters to visit
www.vote.utah.gov
and get registered. If the address and information on your driver’s license has changed then you will need to physically go to your county clerk’s office to get registered as long as it happens today before 5:00pm. Voter privacy has been a common question or concern this election. Wilkins says that when a ballot is received, the signature is verified and if it matches, the paper that identifies the voter is torn off and the ballot is placed, unopened, with all the other ballots. When the ballots are opened and counted, there is no identifying information attached. Those that have already mailed in their ballot can check
www.vote.utah.gov
to see if it has been received at their clerk/auditor’s office. If you have not yet received your ballot, call your clerk’s office right away to find out why.
