Labor Day Accident Near Sand Dunes

A tragic accident resulted in serious injury of one boy on Monday near the sand dunes off SR-45. According to the Uintah County Sheriff’s Office, a family was recreating in the area when a 4-year-old member of the party reached under a vehicle to grab something and another family member accidentally reversed the vehicle over the child. Uintah County Sheriff and ambulance crews were dispatched to the area. The child was life flighted to a Wasatch Front hospital in critical condition. The situation was viewed as a terrible accident and no citation was issued. The Sheriff’s Office says their prayers are with the family as they work towards recovery.

Her love of literature and writing developed in high school which led her to study English Literature and Technical Writing at BYU. She received her BA in English from BYU in 2005 and studied at UVU in Orem for 2 semesters to become a Certified Technical Writer in 2006.
