Thankfully noone was injured in a rollover accident on Highway 40 Sunday morning after a 13-year old White Rocks boy got behind the wheel in Uintah County. According to Utah Highway Patrol, 35-year-old Sweets Myore asked her nephew to drive a Ford F150 pickup from Vernal to Fort Duchesne to drop the pickup off at her house. “She asked the boy to follow her as she led the way in a second vehicle,” shares Highway Patrol. “Given the fact the juvenile was unlicensed and inexperienced, he drifted off the roadway to the right. After leaving the roadway, the juvenile over-corrected back to the left, causing the pickup to swerve back onto the roadway and slide off the left side. After going off the left side, it rolled twice and landed on its wheels.” The crash took place near milepost 139. The juvenile was wearing his seatbelt and had no visible injuries but was transported to the hospital as a precaution. Uintah County Sheriff’s Office are screening the situation for possible charges.
