Hunter Missing Near Meeker Found Alive

A hunter who was reported missing near Meeker over the weekend was found alive. Search crews searched by air and on the ground for 61-year-old David Boelcke from Michigan. Members of the hunting party reported Sunday that the man did not return to their campsite near Pagoda Lake. According to the Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office, Boelcke was spotted on Tuesday and waved at the search crew. He was dehydrated but otherwise in fine condition. He was transported to the Pioneer Medical Center to recover.
