Holly Days Around the Corner

Decorations for Christmas are going up around the Basin with some of the area’s biggest events of the year just days away. Vernal City crews are working to get the street decorations up early because of the warmer weather, explains council member Bert Clark. The decorations are handled easier before the cold and it is time to prepare for Holly Days. The theme for this year’s celebration is

Even with downturn in the economy, Holly Days has been supported by local businesses and Vernal City is hoping the residents can contribute with their time. Volunteers are always needed, explains Vernal City Manager Ken Bassett. “There are so many activities and our employees only go so far.” Those willing to volunteer during Holly Days are encouraged to contact Vernal City for more information.
