Highway Patrol on Winter Storm

by | Dec 16, 2016 | News | 0 comments

A winter storm is rolling through the region and local Highway Patrol is offering safety reminders for anyone traveling on Basin roads. One often overlooked safety practice is to check your tire pressure and be sure to have good tires on your vehicle that can handle winter weather conditions, shares Sgt. Kellie Oaks. Then of course, in addition to buckling up, please travel with food, water and blankets to care for your family if you were ever to become stranded in bad weather. “We are always available to help you if you encounter trouble while traveling on our state highways,” says Sgt. Oaks. Multiple agencies, including Highway Patrol, will be out this weekend doing DUI and seatbelt enforcement. Be smart and stay safe!
