Everybody’s favorite practically perfect nanny is dropping into Meeker. The Meeker Arts and Cultural Council is supporting the Center Stage Youth Theatrical Group in presenting the Fall Broadway Musical production of Mary Poppins Jr. This is the 9th annual musical put on by the theatrical group and features 45 youth from third through eighth grade as cast and crew. Assisting in the production is an additional 39 adults and youth, including members from the Meeker High School Drama Club and the International Thespian Society Troupe 1284. There is also numerous community volunteers and organizations providing support. “The magic that happens with the imaginative scenic design and special effects is catalyzed by the creative artistry embodied in characters that come alive with each youth thespian’s personal creativity and talent,” shares the Meeker Arts announcement. The show plays Thursday, November 15th, and
Friday, November 16th, at 6:30pm
and then
on Saturday, November 17th, at 2pm
at the Meeker High School auditorium. Admission is $7 with children in grades K-8th free when accompanied by a paying 9-12th grade student or an adult.
