Free Training For Small Businesses to Access Government Contracts

“The world of government contracting can be daunting,” shares the Utah Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC). In order to make it less so, they are offering free training in conjunction with the Small Business Association. The Historically Underutilized Business Zone, or HUBZone, is a program that aids small businesses in procuring preferential access to federal opportunities. The Uintah Basin is part of the HUBZone and thus businesses in the area can attend the training. The free training will be offered in Vernal on Wednesday, March 20th, at the Uintah Conference Center from 8:30am to 12:30pm. Included in the training is a presentation about contract law and an overview of Small Business Association programs. Even though the event is free, advanced registration is required. For more information about the conference in Vernal call 435-722-1779.
