Unfortunately, many people in the Basin understand the struggles that come when cancer becomes a part of your life. Recently one of our residents discovered that she would start her battle with breast cancer. Corinne Wilkins Ketterer lives in Duchesne and is a newly single mom of two young kids still living at home. On top of that, she is a nurse. “She has been a nurse for over 25 years and has always given, never asking or taking anything for herself,” shares her sister Amber Wagner. To aid Corinne with her battle, there is a Carnival Fundraiser planned
on Saturday, December 8th, from 12 to 8pm
at the Vernal Western Park. Admission is free and there will be bouncy houses, carnival games, silent auction, raffle, 4 Brothers pizza and more. There will even be shopping vendors to help you finish off your Christmas shopping and the raffle includes a Henry Lever Action 22 firearm. If you have a desire to help, volunteers are needed and should contact Amber Wagner at

435-219-8468

. Otherwise, plan to attend to have some fun for a great cause!
