Flood Advisory Issued for Uinta River Near Randlett

Uintah County Emergency Management is helping spread the word of another flood advisory issued by National Weather Service. The flood advisory is for the Uinta River near Randlett and runs from Thursday afternoon to Sunday evening. According to Uintah County Emergency Management, the river there was at 8.4 feet as of Wednesday at 11am. Bankfull stage for that river is 9.5 feet and flood stage is 9.9 feet. It is forecast that the river will rise to nearly 9.6 feet by Friday before midnight.

Kristin never planned to work in news radio but has thoroughly enjoyed being part of the news team at KVEL. Her love of literature and writing developed in high school which led her to study English Literature and Technical Writing at BYU. She received her BA in English from BYU in 2005 and studied at UVU in Orem for 2 semesters to become a Certified Technical Writer in 2006.
