Final Week of Free School Lunch

Since the beginning of June, kids have been seen walking to and from Ashley Elementary School in Vernal and Naples Elementary School in Naples for a very good reason, to fill their bellies. There is just one week left for free school lunch in the Uintah School District and locals have been grateful for the service provided. “What an amazing way our public school serves the community,” shares local mother Stephanie Adams, whose kids have enjoyed outings to get lunch at the Naples location this summer. “My kids love going not only for the food but also being able to see their friends they would not see otherwise during the summer. When we attend FREE school lunch we are supporting our public schools.”  Lunch is offered Monday through Friday starting at 11:30am.

Kristin never planned to work in news radio but has thoroughly enjoyed being part of the news team at KVEL. Her love of literature and writing developed in high school which led her to study English Literature and Technical Writing at BYU. She received her BA in English from BYU in 2005 and studied at UVU in Orem for 2 semesters to become a Certified Technical Writer in 2006. Two months after completion she began her dream job of being a stay-at-home mom.  As mother of 2 energetic kids, she began writing from home for the KVEL news team in 2011 and considers it the perfect fit as a full time mom and part time writer.
