A tragic crash took the life of a Randlett man
on Sunday afternoon
in Duchesne County. According to Utah Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around
1:00pm
. “A flatbed pickup truck was traveling southbound on SR-191 near milepost 256 when it approached a curve in the roadway. After leaving the roadway, the pickup rolled down an embankment and came to rest in a river on the passenger side.” Tragically, the driver, who was the only occupant in the pickup, was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected as the vehicle rolled. Highway Patrol cites excessive speed as the primary cause of the crash. The driver was identified as 25-year-old Decker Manning of Randlett. Our condolences go out to the friends, family and community now mourning this loss of life.
