Fantastic Year for Uintah Conference Center and Western Park

The Uintah Conference Center and Western Park are experiencing a fantastic year. Facilities Manager Derk Hatch reported to the Uintah County Commission on Monday with statistics for 2016. In the first 11 months of this year, the Uintah Conference Center held 50 conferences that ranged from 40 to over 500 guests. To have that many conferences is absolutely amazing even by the standard on the Wasatch Front, says Hatch. Guests have totalled over 9000 people which Hatch emphasizes equals a lot of hotel rooms filled up and dollars spent on Main Street. In addition to the conferences, the Conference Center has hosted over 80 events such as dinners, meetings, concerts and reunions. The Western Park has also had a phenomenal year booked solid. In the first 11 months of 2016, there have been 93 weddings/receptions, 4 conventions, 48 banquets, 89 events such as the fair, and over 200 equestrian events.
