Fantastic Weekend for Pheasant Hunt

A huge crowd turned out for Utah’s general pheasant hunt over the weekend. More than 10,000 pheasants were released across the state, a large chunk in the Uintah Basin. Birds are scheduled to be released before every weekend of the hunt. As the hunt progresses, the Division of Wildlife Resources is asking hunters to be considerate of others. “Ask other hunters where they plan to hunt and try to give each other space,” shares Upland Game Coordinator Jason Robinson. “Also, if you have a dog, make sure to keep your dog under control. Please remember that everyone is there to have a good time.” Utah’s general pheasant hunt runs through November 20th. Locals with questions on the pheasant hunt in northeastern Utah are asked to contact Alex Hansen, 823-0941.
