DUP Invites International Visitor

Thursday will be a special day for the local Daughters of Utah Pioneers(or DUP) organization. International DUP President Maurine Smith is visiting the Basin and will participate in the rededication of two historical markers in Uintah County. The dedication ceremony for Reynolds Mill will take place at 1:00 in Maesar and the dedication ceremony for Robert’s Pottery will take place at 2:00 in Naples. The Reynolds Mill monument located on 2500 West and 1500 North was mangled after an accident involving a logging truck several years ago. Don and Amy Hall resurrected the monument by designing and welding a sculpture of the mill which was put back in place about a year ago.
