Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office Holds Annual Awards Ceremony

The annual awards ceremony for the Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office was held last week, recognizing the many officers and staff that keep the community safe. David Anderson was awarded the Correctional Officer of the Year. Jared Harrison was awarded Interdiction Officer of the Year. Verlynn Carda was awarded Correctional Civilian of the Year. Karen Easter was awarded the Office Civilian of the Year. Jerry Kelly and Jeff Kearney were both awarded the Extra Mile award. The ceremony also recognized community partners Beverly Hansen and Cheryl Boren for their contributions among many more. “We would like to congratulate each one of these individuals for their dedication…and contributions they offer,” shares the Sheriff’s Office. The Duchesne County Commissioners participated in the program and many more officers, staff and community members were recognized.
