Duchesne County Man Charged with Forcible Sodomy

A Duchesne County man is charged in 8th District Court with two counts of 1st Degree Forcible Sodomy. The charging document states that the crime committed by 53-year-old Relonzo Mark Duane occurred on or about July 10th, 2015, and that the act was without consent with a person 14 years of age or older. The charges were filed on October 11th. Duane made his first appearance on these charges in 8th District Court with Judge Samuel P. Chiara on Monday. Court documents show a long criminal history for Rolonzo Duane in Duchesne County. In 2001, Duane pleaded guilty to Assault and Criminal Mischief charges in a domestic violence situation.  He pleaded guilty to multiple incidents of DUI and intoxication between 2001 and 2010. In 2009, Duane was charged with rape but the Duchesne County Attorney declined to prosecute. In 2009, Duane was charged with 3rd Degree Felony Assault in a domestic violence situation which he entered a plea of No Contest to. In 2010, Duane entered a plea of No Contest to 1st Degree Felony Attempted Forcible Sexual Abuse that was amended to a Class A Misdemeanor. In Uintah County, Duane pleaded guilty to assault in a domestic violence situation in 2002.

Her love of literature and writing developed in high school which led her to study English Literature and Technical Writing at BYU. She received her BA in English from BYU in 2005 and studied at UVU in Orem for 2 semesters to become a Certified Technical Writer in 2006.
