Budget meetings will soon be getting underway for Duchesne County and other governing agencies. According to Duchesne County Commissioner Ron Winterton, right now the county is taking a close look at revenues for the year as they prepare for budget meetings to get underway by the end of the month. “With about 75 percent of the year lapsed it looks like we are doing well so far,” shares Winterton. “We are fiscally on track.” Looking towards the 2017 budget, Winterton says the county will be cutting back and tightening their belt. No construction projects are being planned and the goal will simply be to maintain what the county currently has.
