The Duchesne County Commission met Monday with road maintenance among the items discussed. According to Commissioner Ron Winterton, Duchesne and Carbon County are working to outline a clear agreement on which roads in 9 Mile Canyon each entity will maintain. The organizations have worked together over the years and now a written agreement is being created. Carbon County has offered to maintain about 18 miles of Duchesne County roads in exchange for the B road funds for that portion. Winterton said the agreement still needs formalized but that all are generally in agreement at this point. In other Duchesne County news, the Commission plans to have the final 2017 budget ready in the coming days and on an agenda for approval in the next week or two.
