Dollar Ridge Fire Update

by | Jul 16, 2018 | News | 0 comments

As of Sunday, the Dollar Ridge Fire is 65 percent contained and was last mapped at 56,734 acres with 808 fire personnel on the job. Most of the fire area received rain over the weekend and the rain, along with cloudy conditions, made for minimal fire activity. Firefighters continued to construct fire lines and worked on the uncontained southwestern flank where there is a lot of bug killed timber still standing and posing a threat to firefighters, shares Utah Fire Info. Safety is the top priority and crews are working around the edges of these trees to construct a line and may burn some of them to reduce the threat.
