CIB Approves Funds on Basin Projects

The Community Impact Board approved funding for several Basin projects during their meeting


on Thursday


. The Ashley Valley Water and Sewer Improvement District requested funds for system upgrades including a water line in the Rockpoint area and new fire hydrants. They were awarded $1,334,000 dollars in a half grant, half loan. The Ballard Water, Sewer and Improvement District requested funds for a concrete water tank with leak detection system and 8 inch water line. They were awarded $1,865,000 dollars in grant funding and $635,000 dollars in a low interest loan. The Ouray Water Improvement District requested funds for a new chlorinator, water lines and system upgrades. They were awarded $1,390,000 dollars in grant funding. The CIB also approved a $600,000 dollar grant to the 6 County Infrastructure Coalition to fund an economic study on the proposed DC Express Pipeline project.
