Child Abuse Charge for Jerry Neal Flatlip

One of the four men charged in the rape of a 9-year-old Uintah County girl last spring has also been charged with 3rd Degree Felony Child Abuse. 30-year-old Jerry Neal Flatlip received the additional charge last month in connection with conditions discovered in his home during last spring’s rape investigation. According to court documents, a hair follicle test revealed that his 3-year-old daughter tested positive for high levels of Methamphetamine and Marijuana in her system. At the time of the investigation last spring, the 3-year-old was taken into state custody for her safety. The charge of Child Abuse was filed on September 3rd. Flatlip entered a Not Guilty plea to the charge on September 21st. He is scheduled to be in court again on October 18th.

Her love of literature and writing developed in high school which led her to study English Literature and Technical Writing at BYU.
