The Division of Workforce Services released unemployment numbers by the County this week. While slow, Basin numbers continued their decline this month. Duchesne County dropped from 7.8 to 7.5 percent unemployment. Daggett County ticked down from 4.3 to 4.1 percent and Uintah County fell from 8.8 to 8.5 percent unemployment. The national rate dropped from 4.9 to 4.6 percent while the state of Utah lowered just one-tenth of a point from 3.2 to 3.1 percent unemployment. Every industry group in Utah except one measured net job increases in November as compared to one year previous. The Natural Resources and Mining industry decreased by 1,100 positions from November 2015. The greatest increases in private sector employment were in Education, Health Services and Financial Activities.
