Assignments Outlined for Uintah County Commission

The Uintah County Commission met for their first Commission meeting for 2017 on Monday. Commissioner Bill Stringer was appointed the position of Chairman for the year while new Commissioner Brad Horrocks received his assignments. With the departure of Commissioner Mark Raymond, Horrocks highlighted that his service will include sitting on the boards for the transportation district, health department, county roads, Western Park, Buckskin Hills and mosquito abatement. Each Commissioner also accepts state, regional, and sometimes national assignments. Commissioner Stringer will continue on the State Air Quality Board, among others. Commissioner Horrocks will step into the positions on the Utah Rural Coalition and Joint Highway Committee, among others. Commissioner McKee will continue serving on the 6 County Infrastructure Board, Community Impact Board, and National Association of Counties Public Lands Steering Committee, among others.
