Since Ashley Forest offers some great camping, picturesque views and outdoor fun it tends to be a choice destination. If you are headed up there be aware that the road from Highway 191 to Iron Springs as well as Colton Guard Station, Kaler Hollow and the Taylor Mountain Road are open. Forest Service Road 221 to Spirit Lake is now open. If heading up to Spirit Lake know that about 2 1/2 miles up the road you will run into substantial snow drifts. Sheep Creek Park gate and Birch Creek gate is open. The road on Birch Creek has some run-off damage. Brownie Canyon up Dry Fork, just above Kaler Hollow and above East Park Reservoir is closed due to snow. To keep everyone safe stay informed to the weather and road conditions.
