Another Great Year for Breakfast With Santa in Vernal

It was another successful year for the annual Breakfast With Santa event in Vernal on Saturday. The event first started 16 years ago and serves as a thank you to the community from Vernal City and the Uintah Recreation District. The first 3 years were held at the Elks Club with live entertainment, door prize drawings and about 300 people attending. The event quickly grew and was moved to Western Park for several years before making the Uintah Middle School the annual venue. The event has grown to around 800 attendees each year and this year was no different, shares event coordinator Ron Litton. The Elks Lodge cooked breakfast as always. Entertainment organized by the Arts Council included Brian Litton on piano, Mindy Smith’s violin students, the Maeser Music Machine singers, and dancers from Powerhouse. Santa mingled with the breakfast crowd before heading to the Uintah Community Center to take pictures.
