It’s that time of year again! Back to school can be full of mixed feelings including anxiety for those without Back To School gear. Thanks to Anadarko and their partners, many local kids won’t have to worry about that. In what has become an annual tradition, Anadarko along with the Vernal Area Chamber of Commerce, Duchesne County Chamber of Commerce, and Walmart put together backpacks full of supplies on Wednesday that were then donated to the Uintah and Duchesne School Districts. It was a great turnout as volunteers met to assemble the donations to be school ready. The backpacks were then delivered to school district representatives who will get the gear to the right kids. “It was a huge success due to the generous contributions and a local Walmart in the Chamber,” shares Vernal Chamber Director Joel Brown. “We also had many hands that helped volunteer to put the backpacks and school supplies together. As the old saying goes, many hands make light work and that was the case today.”
