Altercation in Uintah County Results in Death

An altercation between two men resulted in death on Friday afternoon in Uintah County. According to the Uintah County Sheriff’s Office, deputies are investigating the altercation that took place at a residence near Pelican Lake just after 1:00pm. An argument occurred between a 67-year-old man who lived at a residence located near 16000 East 4500 South and a 46-year-old man living on the property. “At some point during the argument, a handgun was produced and the argument between the two men turned physical,” shares the Sheriff’s Office, “resulting in the death of the 67-year-old man. No shots were fired from the handgun during the incident.” At the time of the Sheriff’s Office announcement, the man involved was cooperating with law enforcement and had not been charged. The investigation is ongoing and more information will be shared when it is available.
