Terra Academy Students of the Week

The Terra Academy Students of the week are 5th grade student MaryAlice Riordan and 10th grade student Anna McGaughy. MaryAlice Riordan was nominated by Mr Henry. “MaryAlice may be very quiet, but she is a great all-around student, a cheerful person to be around and a super example to the younger kids,” shares Mr. Henry. “I really enjoy having her in my class.” Anna McGaughy was nominated by Ms. Courney. “Since the fall,” shares Ms. Courney, “Anna has really improved in Language Arts and her positive attitude is contagious to everyone around her. When we are reading a book, she has really smart and insightful comments and she makes the class a lot of fun.” Congratulations MaryAlice Riordan and Anna McGaughy, Terra Academy Students of the Week!

Kristin Baldwin

Kristin never planned to work in news radio but has thoroughly enjoyed being part of the news team at KVEL. Her love of literature and writing developed in high school which led her to study English Literature and Technical Writing at BYU. She received her BA in English from BYU in 2005 and studied at UVU in Orem for 2 semesters to become a Certified Technical Writer in 2006. Two months after completion she began her dream job of being a stay-at-home mom.  As mother of 2 energetic kids, she began writing from home for the KVEL news team in 2011 and considers it the perfect fit as a full time mom and part time writer.
