The future of BTA has been a hot topic in Uintah County this year and tonight the board for the Uintah Transportation Special Service District will address the transit system funding for 2019. The board approved the 2019 funding for the BTA in December but decided to pay BTA on a month to month basis. On February 25th, community members showed up in force to the Uintah County joint city-county meeting where the future of BTA was discussed, public input was received, and questions were answered about the UTSSD budget. ‘BTA-Approval of Funding Through 2019’ is on the agenda for tonight’s UTSSD board meeting and UTSSD Executive Director Cheryl Meier says she is recommending to the board to approve the BTA funding to the end of 2019.
