Ballard City Celebrates 40 Years

One local community has plenty to celebrate with their upcoming 40th anniversary celebration approaching. Sandwiched between the Ute Tribe and Roosevelt City, Ballard is a unique mix of residential, agricultural, commercial and industrial uses with new development in recent years including hotels and their own Shopko. The City reports a stable population over the last 28 years. The 2000 census population registered at 566 people which was slightly down from the 1990 census. The July 2007 estimated population reached 677 community members and is within the same range today. Ballard is celebrating 40 years as a wonderful community on July 30th with events being held all day, headquartered at Serenity Park. All are welcome!
