Uintah County Election Ballots Update

Voters have less than a week to get their ballots in for the primary election on June 28th. Uintah County Clerk/Auditor Mike Wilkins offered a ballot update during a public meeting on Tuesday. On June 20th, the Clerk’s Office had received 2,943 ballots. They have been busy verifying signatures and so far 75 of the ballots are challenged and they are reaching out to contact each to verify identities. Clerk/Auditor Wilkins encouraged all to get their ballots in the mail. He also stated clearly that any rumor that ballots are being opened is totally false.
