DWR Regional Advisory Council Has Openings in Northeastern Region

The Division of Wildlife Resources is spreading the word: there are 2 positions on the Northeastern Regional Advisory Council (RAC) that need filled and the deadline to submit nominations is approaching. DWR Conservation Outreach Manager Tonya Kieffer-Selby shares that they are looking to fill a public-at-large position and an agricultural position. Each of the five RACs in Utah consists of 12 to 15 members and those members can serve up to four years on the council. Meetings are held about six times a year and RAC members listen to proposals from DWR biologists about hunting, fishing and wildlife management in Utah. To apply, you need to ask for a nomination by the appropriate interest group or organization of the region. Nominating groups and organizations must submit their nominations by June 30th. The new RAC members will begin their unpaid term in August.
