U’ettes Ready For Challenge Of Shift From 4A To 5A Competition

A team with a long history of success is showing signs that good things are to come during their transition from 4A to 5A competition. The Uintah High Drill Team had their first competition of the season over the weekend and finished in third place overall with a first place in Show, third place in Dance, and fourth place in Hip-Hop/Military. “It is still early in the competition season and there is more to work on and polish, but it was wonderful for the U’ettes to taste some success after putting in long hours getting routines choreographed,” coach Karlee Stratton shared. There were also four U’ettes that competed as soloists with Addisyn Yack placing fourth in a competitive contemporary category. Two U’ettes placed in the drill down competition with Dance Captain Ashley Glazier placing second and Kenzie Franks placing third. “It was an awesome competition for our team,” said Coach Kim Jenkins. “There’s nothing like performing and competing to gain experience and get the judges’ feedback. It will help our team prepare for a packed January competition schedule.” Congratulations to the entire U’ettes team and good luck on this season!
