COVID-19 Transmission Index and Update

As of Thursday, December 2nd, TriCounty Health Department reported 8,907 total COVID-19 cases in the tri-county area to date, an increase of 16 new cases from the day before. There have been zero new COVID-19 related deaths in the last 7 days and 7 new COVID-19 related hospitalizations. According to Thursday’s data, there are currently 266 active cases. The COVID-19 Transmission Index reports Uintah County at the High Transmission Index Level, Duchesne County at the Moderate Level, and Daggett County at the Low Level. Uintah County’s 7-day average percent positivity was 12 percent and there were 113 cases in the past 14 days, Duchesne County was 8 percent with 37 cases, and Daggett County was 25 percent with 3 cases. The statewide ICU utilization is at 90 percent and the 7-day COVID-19 utilization is 40 percent.
