The Altamont Longhorns boys team also went to state as the number 4 seed. They beat the Rockwell Marshalls 55-53  to start thier run.  They then faced number 1 seed Beaver last Thursday. The Longhorns took a good first quarter lead, then the Beaver's defense took over and slowed the Longhorns down to beat them 58-34. On the consolation side, the Longhorns lost to Enterprise 61-41.

The Altamont boys basketball team hosted Manila Thursday. Zach Hansen scored 19 points as the Longhorns lead through three quarters, but the Mustangs put together a fourth quarter comeback to beat the horns 39-36 Burke Pallesen and Garrett Potter each scored 13 for the Mustangs. This put Manila in fourth place in Region 17 and in to a play in game Tuesday against Piute for the right to play Panguitch Wednesday.  Tabiona finished third in the region, they will take on Intermountain Christian on Wednesday for the opportunity to take on Valley on Wednesday.

The Altamont boys basketball team traveled to Tabiona Friday Zach Hansen scored 16 for the Longhorns but Tigers behind Beau Bateman's 14 points beat the Longhorns 40-36. Friday they traveled to Salt Lake to take on Intermountain Christian. Hansen scored 10 with Parker Rust and Cody Layton each adding 9 in the 47-41 Longhorn victory. They'll host Rich Friday at 7.
